Google Reveals Android Distribution Chart for March, KitKat Now at 2 . 5 %

Android four. 4 KitKat is gradually creating its way onto the smartphone current market. If we are to just take into thought the stats launched by Google in the past 3 months, we could say KitKat&rsquos adoption is not going also properly.

Despite the fact that Google advisable handset makers to test and start only units driven by Android 4. four.x KitKat running process no a single appears to pay attention the research big &rsquos suggestion.

We claimed past thirty day period KitKat&rsquos adoption on the industry was under 2 %, which isn&rsquot that wonderful for an running method that released about 5 months back.

Google described only 1. eight % of users who visited its Enjoy Store ended up employing devices run by Android 4. 4.x KitKat running program.

The new figures introduced by the Mountain Look at organization details to a slight boost in KitKat adoption, but nowhere around what we would have envisioned after two significant telecom trade fairs like Customer Electronics Exhibit (CES) and Cell Globe Congress (MWC).

Bulletins of new units run by Android 4. four.x KitKat units produced at these trade fairs ought to have pushed the adoption of the new working program to at the very least 5 % until March.

Unfortunately, the quantities verified by Google are completely unique and this is generally thanks to handset makers not offering KitKat updates to their goods.

Only a portion of the most essential makes in the smartphone industry declared they would supply their clients with an Android four. 4.x KitKat enhance. Even so, the promised updates are producing their way to clients particularly gradual.

As a direct consequence, Google declared that only two. five % customers who visited the Participate in Store in the last seven days own units run by Android four. 4.x KitKat running method.

This is a small enhance from the previous month &rsquos 1. eight %, and, ideally, the 1st signal that KitKat will become the major Android platform in the following pair of months.

Other edition of Android also recorded slight raises, this kind of as Android four.x Jelly Bean which has been confirmed to be utilised by 62 % of Google Perform Retailer guests. In comparison, very last month Jelly Bean was only detected on sixty. 7 % devices that visited the Participate in Store.

Below are the rest of the Android distribution figures, as posted by Google in its regular dashboard report:

- Android 2. two Froyo 1. two %
- Android two. 3.x Gingerbread - 19.%
- Android three. two Honeycomb -. 1 %
- Android four..x Ice Cream Sandwich - 15. two %

Retain in brain that due to the reality that Google Engage in Shop only supports gadgets powered by Android 2. 2 and up, this statistic does not incorporate any info on devices operating versions reduce than two. two Froyo.
