Verizon HTC DLX (Deluxe) Leaks with 5'' Display, 1.5 Ghz Quad-Core CPU and Jelly Bean

Verizon Wireless has yet to offer one of HTC's One series smartphones that have been introduced back in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

However, this is about to change as the carrier plans to launch the Taiwanese company's Android flagship smartphone, which seems to be dubbed HTC DLX.

Pronounced HTC Deluxe, the smartphone appears to be the US version of the recently announced HTC J Butterfly, which is exclusive to Japan.

The folks over at AndroidCentral got their hands on the first HTC DLX pictures, which confirm some of the phone's specs.

Verizon's first HTC One phone, the DLX is said to boast a huge 5-inch Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

In addition, it will pack either an 8 or a 12-megapix el rear photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. In the front, HTC DLX sports a secondary 2-megapixel camera for self portraits video calls.

Hardware-wise, HTC DLX is a beast. The smartphone will be powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, which is complemented by 2GB of RAM and an unknown (for now) graphics processing unit.

On the inside, the superphone packs only 16GB of storage, though we expect it will come with microSD card slot for memory expansion. The leaked pictures also confirm the HTC DLX features physical buttons and supports Verizon's 4G LTE network.

Last but not least, HTC DLX is powered by Google's Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, and drains energy from a high-capacity 2500 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Unfortunately, there are no details on the HTC DLX's availability and pricing options yet, but we're waiting for more info to leak in the following weeks, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
