Barbara Walters Hospitalized After Fall at the Obama Inauguration

Barbara Walters suffered a pretty serious fall at a party after the Obama Inauguration, it has emerged. She is believed to have been left with a cut on the forehead but is otherwise ok.

The 83-year-old television veteran was taken to the hospital for a thorough checkup, Monsters And Critics reports.

“Walters, 83, fell Saturday night on a step at the residence of Britain's ambassador to the United States, Peter Westmacott, ABC News spokesman Jeffrey Schneider said to the press. The fall left Walters with a cut on her forehead, he said,” M&C writes.

“Ms. Walters reportedly was alert and was ‘telling everyone what to do, which we all take as a very positive sign,’ he said,” adds the same media outlet.
