The PlayStation Vita handheld from Sony is the piece of gaming related hardware that most gamers in Japan want to acquire during 2013.

The information comes from gaming magazine Famitsu, quoted by CVG, and the rest of the chart includes:

6. Xbox 360 – 11%
7. Unspecified smartphone – 10%
8. PlayStation Portable - 10%
9. Wii – 9%

12. iPhone – 5%

14. Other – 2%

The Famitsu ranking is based on a poll of its readers and the situation when the entire Japanese gaming public is taken into account might be very different.

At the moment the PlayStation Vita is performing badly in the country, selling around 10,000 devices during a week.
