Windows 8.1 Build 947x Pre-RTM Being Tested in China Report

Windows 8.1 RTM is set to go live later this month, so select partners across the world are now testing what seem to be several new builds of the operating system.

The editors over at Win8China have tested Windows 8.1 build 947x, a Chinese version of the operating system that’s supposed to be unveiled in mid-August, featuring several improvements.

In addition to a new Chinese input method, the new build is also said to be much more stable and faster, even though it’s not yet clear if new features are also part of the package or Microsoft focused solely on bug fixes.

As far as the company is concerned, the Softies are keeping all details on Windows 8.1 RTM secret, so take this as a rumor until we hear back from Microsoft.
