On Friday, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung announced the immediate availability of its Galaxy Express LTE smartphone on the market in Hong Kong, after bringing the smartphone to various markets in Europe earlier this week.
Made official last year for the US market and announced for ot her countries as well back in January, the smartphone arrives on shelves as a mid-range device, though still capable of providing users with fast connectivity capabilities while on the go.
The specifica tions list of this mobile phone also includes 1GB of RAM, along with 8GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.
Furthermore, the smartphone hits shelves with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, as well as with a 1.3MP front camera that should provide users with the possibility to make video calls while on the road.
Other capabilities of this Samsung device include the aforementioned support for 4G LTE networks, paired with 3G connectivity, WiFi and Bluetooth, build-in GPS receiver, and a 2000 mAh battery.
Measuring 132.7 x 69.1 x 9.3 mm and weighing 137 grams, the Samsung Galaxy Express LTE runs under Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
As pocketdroid notes, the smartphone packs a series of pre-loaded applications, such as Samsung Apps, Game Hub, ChatON, Exchange ActiveSync, Google Gmail, Google Talk, Google+, Voice search, YouTube, Online Widget, Chrome, and S Planner.
At the moment, the Galaxy Express LTE can be found available for purchase in Hong Kong with a price tag of HK $ 3,698 ($475 / 366 Euro) attached to it, which puts it in line with some mid- to high-end smartphones, although its hardware specifications are a bit lower.
