Nokia Normandy Is a Failed Dual-Boot Smartphone Project

It looks like Nokia's unannounced Normandy smartphone might not be something else than a failed project that initially intended to bring both Windows Phone and Android platforms on the device.
According to PGEgdGFyZ2V0PSJfYmxhbmsiIHJlbD0ibm9mb2xsb3ciPkVsZGFyIE11cnRhemluPC9hPg==, at this moment Nokia Normandy is an Android smartphone with a Metro UI, which is supposed to replace the Asha series of devices.
Nokia Asha lost ground to Android smartphones, which is why the Finnish company needs something revolutionary to turn the tides in its favor once again.
We've been seeing Nokia Normandy's UI quite a few times courtesy to some leaked pictures and we have to agree that the phone's user interface strongly resembles Metro UI.
The fact that Microsoft and Nokia planned to have a dual-boot device aimed at emerging markets is surprising indeed. That would have definitely gained back some of the market share Nokia lost in the last couple o f months.
