Maingear Launches Fully Upgradeable Solo 21 AIO with Hybrid Storage

It seems like every computer system manufacturer is getting ready for the Windows 8 launch this autumn and Maingear is not sitting still either. The company has just announced the new Solo 21 system that comes with a hybrid SSD/HDD storage system and a very nice design.

The new Solo 21 is built around Intel’s H61 chipset and comes with the much desired USB 3.0 ports, SATA III and support for up to 16GB of DDR3 1600 memory.

The most useful and interesting part is the fact that Maingear decided to use a dual storage system that uses a fast Crucial M4 SSD as the boot drive and a regular 500GB or 1TB HDD for normal storage.

A Blu-ray drive is optional and the pricing starts at $900 with Microsoft’s Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system included.

One thing we must really note is the fact that there is no touch support, as the Solo 21 doesn’t have a touchscreen.
