Motorola has just kicked off a new promotional deal for the Moto X. Customers who purchase the smartphone will now receive a free Chromecast worth of $35 (€25).
However, the deal only applies to outright purchases of Motorola Moto X 16GB and 32GB, which are now available for $400 (€295) and $450 (€330), respectively.
Although it may not sound such a great deal, in fact this is very close to Motorola's botched deal on the Moto X that went live a few weeks ago and saw the smartphone discounted to only $350 (€255) outright.
It may be just a coincidence, but it's worth mentioning the promotional deal ends the same day Motorola's confirmed press event which is set to take place in the UK.
The US-based handset maker is ex pected to expand the availability of Moto X in Europe and the official announcement may go live on January 14.
On the other hand, Motorola may just release another member of the Moto X family aimed at the European market and perhaps other regions as well. A tablet is in the cards as well, though it's less likely for the company to release a new slate.
Moto X is one of the few smartphones that runs Google's latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and will remain so for several weeks at least.
All US-based operators carrying the Moto X have already offered the KitKat upgrade, which makes it even a better deal to those looking for a high-end Android smartphone powered by the latest software.
