Twitter 10.2.2 Gets Pulled from BlackBerry World Due to User Reported Issues

Bad news for BlackBerry fans, as one of the most popular applications for their favorite platform, Twitter has just been pulled from BlackBerry World.

The information has been recently confirmed by BlackBerry via a short statement that highlights the reasons behind its decision to remove the latest version of Twitter from BlackBerry World application store.

“Twitter version 10.2.2 has been removed from BlackBerry World due to user reported issues. We are actively investigating and will provide an update here when Twitter 10.2.2 has been reposted.”

Those who are currently using the faulty Twitter application are recommended to downgrade to a previous version or simply remove it from their devices unless they don't experience any issues (which would be almost impossible).

BlackBerry enthusiasts who are absolutely in need of Twitter on their device can download to version 10.2.1 by following the procedure described below:

- On the home screen, hold the Twitter icon until the X appears. Press the X to delete the application;
- Open BlackBerry World;
- In BlackBerry World go to Settings by swiping down from the top of the screen;
- Select / General / Refresh BlackBerry World;
- Search for Twitter in BlackBerry World;
- Install Twitter version 10.2.1.

Usually BlackBerry tests all its applications for a certain period by letting users install a beta version from BlackBerry Beta Zone.

Unfortunately, it looks like the latest version of Twitter hasn't been tested enough, or the issues are related with things that did not appear in the Beta Zone.

Either way it's a good thing the Canadian company decided to remove Twitter 10.2.2 from BlackBerry World in order to fix these user reported issues.

Hopefully, it won't be long until the latest version of the application gets published on BlackBerry World once again. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
